CHAPEL FARM

Chapel Farm Est. 1905 was a working farm for over 90 years.

 

In 2000 the Walker Family bought the bones of Chapel Farm.

 

Shaded by our century-old Sugar Gum, the original homestead turned bar overlooks the Courtyard and natural lake. The largest semi-outdoor event space in the Swan Valley, the courtyard is protected from the elements while still being outside.

 

Your guests can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy a rustic farm atmosphere with all the comforts- all while being only 30 minutes from the Perth CBD. Chapel Farm boasts an accessible, multi-level location to say "I do".

 

Looking out over our natural lake and with views of the Perth hills in the distance, you and your guests are shaded from the afternoon sun by the Chapel ruins, flame trees, and Japanese elms.

 

Chapel Farm's cellar, filled with our premium range and reserve wines provides a casual indoor area. The area is fitted with lounge booths and stained glass features, and opens up to our main reception area - The Courtyard.

 

This exclusive event space has a seated capacity of 200 guests. The courtyard includes a built-in Jarrah dance-floor, paired with our complimentary fairy and festoon lighting.

ESTATE AT CHAPEL FARM

 

On the banks of the brook that flows through the centre of our property, nestled between our vineyards, you will find Swan Valley's newest event space; Estate at Chapel Farm. Built from the bones of the original winery founded in the early 1900's.

 

We have repurposed recycled materials to encapsulate the history of the estate- including one of the original fermentation tanks. Overlooking our whimsical vineyards and just a stone throw away from our brook, Jane Brook deck provides a view over our back block vineyard and the brook that flows during wet season.

The Church Barn at Chapel Farm Estate can facilitate seated weddings of up to 300 guests. It offers fully and semi-enclosed options, with air-conditioning to help keep you cool in the summer months.  

 

Built using salvaged, collected and procured materials including stained glass windows from the 1800's, it is home to our Brewery, Distillery and our Winery showcasing premium West Australian produce.

 

Complimentary fairy and festoon lighting is included to enhance the atmosphere on your special day.

PERSONALITY PROFILE

 

When looking for your wedding venue, we believe you’ll just “know” when you’ve found the right one. It will just fit. Like Cinderella and her shoe. Like milk & cookies, wine and cheese, donuts & coffee (or peas and carrots, for the more health conscious).

 

Family owned for 23 years, with thousands of successful weddings under our belt, we believe we’ve got a pretty good grasp on what works and what doesn’t.

 

We are human, and you are too, so when you meet us, as with any relationship, chemistry between both of us will make or break it. We may not tick all your boxes, and that’s ok because if the chemistry isn’t there, its not us, and it’s not you. It’s just not meant to be, and we aren’t the venue for you. We know we won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. But we like who we are and what we offer and you can bet your last sip of wine that we will do everything we have in us to make your day and the lead up an experience of magic and ease. Like every relationship, sometimes we will need to sit down, talk things out and clear things up. Sometimes we will also have to say “no”, and while we don’t like this, it’s all to ensure that what you want is council and legislatively compliant, logistically possible, and safe for everyone involved. Anyone that tells you it will be smooth sailing 100% of the time has clearly never planned a wedding!

Wingmen Jester, Slim Shady, Iggy, & Louie-Chino

With upwards of 175 weddings each year at our venue, and during peak periods close to 30 couples a month saying “I do”, we rely not just on one Weddings Master, but a team of them. While you will have a regular Wedding guru, at times you may be liaising with a different coordinator. This is to ensure we can get back to you as timely as possible, and to give our team the chance to focus solely on the couple getting married that day if you happen to contact us on a day we are running a wedding. Please be assured that the team are in regular contact with each other with a heavy oversight and leadership from senior management across all elements of weddings at our venues.

We are fully licenced venues so external food & beverages are not permitted. We offer a variety of food packages from a casual canape style to a traditional sit down dinner. Drinks packages come with bar service so that people can choose what they like from your package, rather than “a bottle of red & white per table”, but if table service is more your style, we are flexible with add-ons and changes to package requirements.

 

Word on the Street is that we have “noise restrictions” when it comes to bands and DJ’s. The truth is, all venues do, imposed by local councils and Department of Racing, Liquor and Gaming. We comply with these so that your wedding doesn’t get shut down by an Inspector that identifies you have breached decibel limits. Having said that, we don’t see this as a problem, as we’ve never had a wedding that hasn’t been quite the party.

 

When you book with us, you will receive a booking agreement of terms and conditions, a payment plan, a schedule of planning meetings, and a list of FAQ’s and inclusions for you to refer to any time you have questions. Our Weddings team are also always available to help if you can’t find what you need in any of these documents.

 

We hope that gives some insight into what happens at Chapel Farm Estate. We’re pretty laid back (but not “Red Flag” laid back), we love good jokes, good stories and good ideas, but most of all, we love Love.

 

Our Alpacas, Jester, Iggy, Slim Shady & Louie-Chino also happen to make excellent wingmen.

A PLACE TO REST YOUR HEAD

Chapel Farm Getaways has eight  boutique rooms, each with queen or king beds, a compact lounge, large bathroom and private terrace.

 Built on the foundations of old mews stables, our quirky rooms are individually themed to take you on a trip around the Globe.

We also offer a self contained, three bedroom (King, Queen & 2 singles) house called ‘The Bush Shack’. It really is a funky little shack where you can get together, with a newly renovated bathroom, kitchen and private front and rear gardens.

"We had our wedding at Chapel Farm (original part) and had the best day. Everything ran smoothly thanks to Madison. We had Madison and Katie as our wedding coordinators over the 18months and they were fantastic. Their communication was always prompt, they answered my million questions and were very flexible with our ideas. On the day Flynn assisted with set up and was super helpful and lovely. Madison ensured everything ran smoothly including getting us drinks, ensuring water stations (it was a 42 degree day) and helping with set up. She did all this with a smile on her face and her calm nature put me at ease. Our guests raved how gorgeous the venue was and how friendly staff were and how delicious the food was (especially the cheeseburger wontons). Guests had more than enough to eat with the cocktail menu and they had a great selection of drinks in their drinks menu. We had a few guests with dietary requirements and on the day the staff approached these guests and ensured they had a special dish, which really left those guests feeling included and special which of course was great to see! We also stayed at their accommodation for a couple days and used the rain forrest retreat and these were all gorgeous!! We bumped in to the owner a few times and he was friendly, helpful and hands on which is nice to see! A huge thank you to Madison, Katie, Flynn and the whole team working that day! You were absolute stars and ensured we had the best day!!!"
