Angela + Tim

" It might be the most romantic thing ever, accidentally done by a postal worker."

Married on 22 September 2023.

Timothy and Angela’s love story began on NYE of 2014. They first crossed paths at Metro City, Northbridge. Angela noticed Timothy’s grand mohawk and moustache and gave him a compliment. Timothy offered to buy Angela a drink, which she politely refused. They went back to their respective groups of friends and counted down the final seconds to midnight.

A couple of weeks later, Angela stepped foot in the MMA Clinic for the first time. Her new year’s resolution was to try BJJ (Brazilian jiu-jitsu). It was here that she noticed the same handsome mohawk and moustache again! Timothy and Angela struck up another conversation and exchanged details. From here they started texting and seeing each other at the gym.

Their first date was at Little Creatures, next door to the gym in Fremantle, where they ate, drank and played boardgames. Timothy is great at many things but Connect Four is not one of them. While he might not have been able to connect four, these two certainly connected pretty damn well.

Timothy and Angela have been together for a decade now, and over those years they have achieved and experienced many things together. They both got their teaching degrees (Angela first, Timothy just copied her), lived and worked in China for a year, bought their first, then second homes together, and welcomed the addition of two very adorable yet incredibly strong-willed Scottie dogs – Ivory and Ebony. "If you ask Timothy, he might say that the dogs take after their mother!" - Angela

Angela and Tim got engaged in 2022 when the postie left the package, containing the engagement ring that Tim had designed and ordered, by the front door without bothering to obtain a signature. It might be the most romantic thing ever, accidentally done by a postal worker.

September 2023, on a beautiful spring day, Timothy and Angela tied the knot at Chapel Farm Estate and partied the night away with their family and friends. Angela's – oops, we mean “Their”- wedding was such a colourful, magical, and special fun-filled day, and certainly the absolute best way to start their new lives together!
