On two separate occasions this property was owned by a woman. Most of the history will tell you the property was used as a horse farm with stables built on the property early on. The land was then subdivided and the owners, who had come out from Ireland named it Chapel Farm.

In 1992 the larger building was added on, which is now used as the restaurant. Its original use was a truck stop for pies & sausage rolls. The previous owners to Mr Walker began a small quaint restaurant with limited facilities and a small courtyard area.

Since then Mr Walker has turned Chapel Farm into what it is today. With its semi-enclosed courtyard area that can seat up to 200 guests, including the beautifully designed outdoor cooking area including a 5 burner wok table, hibachi and the national winning “Unique” BBQ. The inside is stylishly decorated with suitable amount of tables for dining and burgundy couches to enjoy one of the 69 beers or a coffee with friends. The lake area is blessed with lilies from one end to the other, our loved damara sheep, alpacas & of course Cinderella. Sit back and enjoy a relaxing afternoon here where you may even catch some of the beautiful wildlife that bless our lake. It also makes a great back drop for a wedding. The waterfall area created by Darren is the distinctive location for a function with a little bit of privacy or a gorgeous garden wedding.

In 2006/2007 Darren Walker created Chapel Farm Getaways, made out of the original construction of the horse stables. This extraordinarily designed adult retreat is designed to take you to all ends of the world right in your own back yard. Each room is complete with comforts of either queen or king size bed, TV/DVD, private bathroom, lounge tea/coffee, mini bar facilities, DVDs, reading books, cards and music to relax too.

Relax by the pool & spa, overlooking the Perth hills while cooking your own traditional Aussie breakfast, order one of exclusive hampers to enjoy by the lake, enjoy the ambiance of a scrumptious dinner in our restaurant, or enjoy the other magnificent dining experiences in the Swan Valley. On your return to your room an in-house massage can be arranged. So now those long drives in a car or plane trips are no longer required. Your perfect retreat is right here in Perth.
